Joe Otterson TV Reporter Fox is developing a drama series that boasts Hugh Jackman among its executive producers. Currently titled “Billionaire Apocalypse,” the series hails from writer and executive producer Jay Carson. Lawrence Bender and Kevin Brown executive produce alongside Jackman.

UPDATE: Following the critical acclaim for Jason Reitman‘s SNL origins pic, Saturday Night, coming out of its Telluride release, Sony is changing up the release pattern of the ensemble pic to a platform roll-out. The movie will go exclusive on Sept 27 in LA, NYC and Toronto, then limited on Oct. 4 before breaking wide on Oct. 11.

When a studio world premieres a movie at Telluride to tee off its chances during awards season, they have to make sure they’ve got the goods, and Sony certainly did coming away from its launch of Jason Reitman‘s all-star Saturday Night about the 90-minute agita experienced by SNL producer Lorne Michaels before the show’s first broadcast in the fall of 1975.

Jason Reitman’s Untitled SNL 1975 project has officially been titledSaturday Nightand will be released in theaters on Oct. 11 this year via Columbia Pictures.

Slash has said that Guns N’ Roses are currently “trying” to make a new album, and that he is “working with them in that capacity”.The hard rock legends have not released a full-length record since 2008’s much-delayed ‘Chinese Democracy’, on which Slash did not appear. Since he rejoined in 2016, they have released a handful of new tracks, including ‘Absurd’, ‘Hard Skool’, ‘Precious’ and ‘The General’, but there has been no confirmation of a further album.But now Slash has now told the Daily Star (via Music News) that plans are afoot to change that.“Guns N’ Roses are trying to make their own record,” he said, when asked why he didn’t invite Axl Rose onto his own solo album.

Slash has announced a solo blues album, ‘Orgy of the Damned’.The Guns N’ Roses guitarist will drop his upcoming record on May 17th via Gibson Records, and has shared its lead single, a cover of Howlin’ Wolf’s ‘Killing Floor’. The song features AC/DC vocalist Brian Johnson and Aerosmith‘s Steven Tyler on harmonica duties.He will play with guests such as Iggy Pop, Chris Stapleton, Demi Lovato, Dorothy, Paul Rodgers, Chris Robinson, Tash Neal, Beth Hart, Gary Clark Jr. and Billy Gibbons.Slash is also set to cover several blues standards such as Robert Johnson’s ‘Crossroad Blues’, Albert King’s ‘Born Under a Bad Sign’, Willie Dixon’s ‘Hoochie Coochie Man’ and more.Pre-order/pre-save the album here and check out ‘Killing Floor’ below:01.
