Voters will take to the polls for the local elections on Thursday. Elections will take place for more than 200 local authorities, including all 33 London boroughs and 34 metropolitan boroughs in England.
In Greater Manchester, hundreds of candidates will be eager to win seats on the region's 10 councils. By voting, people in Greater Manchester will be able to have a say on who they think should run their public services, including schools, libraries and bin collections.

Labour currently runs nine councils in the city-region - although no party has a majority in Stockport - while the Conservatives are in power at Bolton council.
