Lizzo Lawsuit Update: Singer Scores Win in Standoff With Former Stylist
justjared.comLizzo scored a win in court this week amid a legal standoff with a former stylist. If you forgot, the 36-year-old “Rumors” hitmaker was sued by former stylist Asha Daniels in September 2023.
In the lawsuit, Asha accused Lizzo of creating “a sexualized, racially charged and illegal work environment.” Back in December 2023, the singer asked a judge to dismiss the lawsuit.
A Los Angeles federal judge handed down a ruling about the case on Monday (December 2), and Lizzo came out on top. Keep reading to find out more… According to reporting by BBC, Lizzo‘s name was dropped from the lawsuit.
It now is focused on her Big Grrrl Big Touring Inc, since they are who technically hired Asha. Accusations targeting tour manager Carlina Gugliotta were also dropped from the lawsuit.
