The Prime Minsiter has expressed her concern about the health of the Queen after Buckingham Palace announced a deterioration in the monarch’s health.Truss issued a statement after Buckingham Palace announced: “Following further evaluation this morning, The Queen’s doctors are concerned for Her Majesty’s health and have recommended she remain under medical supervision.

The Queen remains comfortable and at Balmoral.”Prime Minister Truss left the chamber as a note was passed along the benches to MPs informing them of the Queen’s condition.She then issued a tweet: “The whole country will be deeply concerned by the news from Buckingham Palace this lunchtime."My thoughts - and the thoughts of people across our United Kingdom - are with Her Majesty The Queen and her family at this time.”The Commons Speaker Lindsay Hoyle intervened in a Commons debate to say that “the thoughts and prayers” of the whole House were with her Majesty.SNP Westminster leader Ian Blackford, who was responding to the Prime Minister’s energy statement, responded: “Thank you, Mr Speaker, and I am sure on behalf of all colleagues that we were saddened to hear the announcement that’s been made and that the thoughts and prayers of all of us will be with Her Majesty and indeed with the Royal Family.”The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall have travelled to Balmoral, Clarence House said.
