Livingston have confirmed the exit of Phillip Cancar - with goalkeeper Ivan Konovalov also set to leave West Lothian.Aussie defender Cancar departs after arriving on a two-year deal in the summer but finding game time limited.

The 21-year-old made five appearances for the Lions, scoring once, but hasn't featured since a 5-0 loss to Aberdeen in August. He returns to the A-League where he will join Newcastle Jets.Speaking to the club's official website, Livi boss David Martindale said: "Phill was someone who arrived, and leaves, with huge potential but perhaps the move here was just a touch early in his career and it hasn't quite worked out how we both would have liked."Phill's game time has been limited and with a chance to return home and continue his development back in the A-League, that offered the best option for his own progression.

Phill has a club lined up and the move will see Livingston with a potential future sell-on fee."I wish Phill the best of luck and I'm sure there will be future opportunities for him to return to play his football in the UK further in his career if he so wishes."Konovalov, who signed for the Lions from Rubin Kazan just days before the conflict in Ukraine started last year, has agreed terms with Kazakhstan outfit FC Tobol.

The 28-year-old made 11 appearances for the club but was unable to beat Max Stryjek then latterly Shamal George to the no.1 jersey. He had been close to exiting the club in August before a deal fell through but now looks set to end his stay in Scotland. The Courier understands both deals are a free transfer with the Lions retaining a sell-on clause.
