'Livid' husband books hotel after in-laws refuse to let him sleep next to wife in their home
dailyrecord.co.ukA man was left 'livid' after his in-laws refused to allow him to sleep next to his wife while staying in their home and asked him to use the sofa instead.
The husband took to Reddit to reveal that he initially thought his wife's father was joking but after realising he was being serious, he took off and stayed in a nearby hotel.
The following morning, his wife rang to inform him that his in-laws were furious he had left but were not willing to apologise and demanded he sleep on the sofa for the remainder of the trip, the Mirror reports.
However, the man said he would not be apologising to keep the peace after being told he wasn't 'welcome back in the house' if he refused to return there to sleep.In a post to the online forum, he wrote: "The in-laws invited us to come visit and stay with them for a few days and we took them up on the offer.
