Ronaldo missed United’s 4-0 defeat at Anfield on Tuesday night after he and his partner Georgina Rodriguez announced the sad news that their baby son had passed away.
Ronaldo and Rodriguez have received countless tributes and messages of support since making the announcement. And there was a special show of solidarity from both sets of supporters on Merseyside during Tuesday’s encounter.
Applause rang out from both sets of fans in the seventh minute in support of Ronaldo and his partner. Home fans also sang their club anthem 'You’ll Never Walk Alone' in tribute.
