EXCLUSIVE: UTA has signed director and producer Dean Israelite for representation in all areas. Most recently, Israelite completed Little Wing, a coming-of-age film for Awesomeness Films and Paramount+, which adapted a New Yorker article by Susan Orlean.
Scripted by John Gatins, the film tells the story of Kaitlyn (Brooklynn Prince), a 13-year-old girl who, reeling from her parents’ divorce and the pending loss of her home, is drawn into the world of pigeon racing.
Brian Cox and Kelly Reilly also star. Previously, Israelite garnered two Emmy nominations and three from the DGA for his work on a revival of the kids’ horror anthology series Are You Afraid of the Dark?, which he also exec produced.
Prior to that, he directed and exec produced the space drama The Astronauts from Nickelodeon and Imagine Entertainment, also helming the features Project Almanac and Power Rangers for Paramount/Platinum Dunes and Lionsgate/Saban, respectively.
