Little Mix's Jade Thirlwall seems to have 'thrown shade at Simon Cowell' in her debut solo track. The 31 year old songstress is gearing up to release fresh music after the band announced a break in 2021.
Jade, alongside Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Perrie Edwards, and Jesy Nelson, shot to fame with Little Mix on The X Factor back in 2011.The group went their separate ways following Jesy's departure in 2020.
During the creation of their fifth album LM5, the girls made headlines by moving from Simon Cowell's Syco label to RCA, amidst rumours of a clash with the industry giant.
Now, it seems Jade's inaugural solo offering, Angel Of My Dreams, hints at this past tension. The Sun has claimed that the much-anticipated single features the line: "Sold my soul to a Syco", which appears to be a sly nod to Simon's old record company. The music video is speculated to show a young Jade chasing stardom, while being manipulated by a cigar-toting man who rules over the music scene.
