The Black Keys have shared a new single with Beck, ‘I’m With The Band’. Check it out below.Both parties have teamed up previously for The Black Keys’ recent album ‘Ohio Players‘.
Beck appeared on the retro-inspired single ‘Beautiful People (Stay High)’, as well as ‘Paper Crown’, both of which were released earlier this year.Prior to that, The Black Keys drummer Patrick Carney revealed in an interview with NME last year that touring with Beck in 2003 was their “first big break”.
Carney recalled how he met Beck at a party and handed him a bootleg version of their upcoming 2003 album ‘Thickfreakness’.“Who’s going to listen to that shit?
Beck did. And he invited us on tour a few weeks later, which was our first big break,” Carney recalled. “We’ve known him for 20 years now and he’s the lynchpin in the new evolution of The Black Keys.”Now, they’ve teamed up once again for the new, psychedelic-imbued single ‘I’m With The Band’, shared today (November 1).It marks the second release from the upcoming expanded version of their latest album, ‘Ohio Players‘, following ‘Mi Tormenta’, which featured DannyLux, and ‘Stay In Your Grave’ with Alice Cooper.
