Linkin Park have shared a ferocious new single called ‘Up From The Bottom’. Check it out below.Available now via Warner, the new song is one of the first new releases from the band since they dropped their huge comeback album ‘From Zero’ last year. That record marked the first since the tragic death of frontman Chester Bennington, and saw Dead Sara’s Emily Armstrong join the band as the new singer.
The new single is set to feature on the forthcoming deluxe edition of the LP, which is arriving on May 16 (pre-order here). It is one of the three new tracks set to appear on the tracklist, as well as five live versions of songs that were played on the band’s huge run of live shows over the past few months.According to a new description, the song was written while the band were on their massive ‘From Zero World Tour’ and incorporates the same energy that they have while taking to the stage.
In keeping with the rest of the LP, it features a wall of destroyed riffs, earth-shattering drums and unmistakable vocals from both Armstrong and Mike Shinoda.“You keep me waiting down here so far below, staring up from the bottom, up from the bottom,” Armstrong sings.
Check it out above. The song was first hinted at earlier this month, with DJ/producer Joe Hahn describing it as “the best song we’ve ever made.” Shinoda also chimed in to say he thinks it’s also the “best music video” that Linkin Park have made to date. The live shows are set to continue throughout North America, before the band head overseas for the Europe and UK leg of dates.
