Lisa Kudrow to star in Taika Waititi's series Time Bandits based on the 1981 movie of same name

The 59-year-old Friends actress will play a character named Penelope in the show. The comedienne joins a cast which already boasts Kal-El Tuck from Unseeing Evil, House star Charlyne Yi and Martyrs Lane actress Kiera Thompson.

Taika will also direct the first two episodes of the series which follows 'a young boy who discovers a time-traveling portal in his bedroom,' according to the series' IMDb page.
