After DI Kate Fleming (Vicky McClure) survived a terrifying gun duel with PC Ryan Pilkington (Gregory Piper), not to mention trouble for the gaffer Supt Ted Hastings (Adrian Dunbar), the nauseating family tree of DCI Jo Davidson (Kelly Macdonald) and the arrival of AC-12 grim reaper DCS Patricia Carmichael (Anna Maxwell Martin), the latest episode was nerve-shredding from the off.
Now Jo is in jail, the prime suspect is dead in Spain, DS Steve Arnott (Martin Compston) is on the run from Occupational Health and the elusive corrupt cop ‘H’ is likely still out there.
