James Nesbitt has been back at work filming a new TV show hours after his dramatic exit from Line of Duty. The Northern Irish actor, 56, was spotted working on new Netflix drama Stay Close - the latest limited series based on the work of author Harlan Coben - in Manchester.

Filming has been taking place in the city in recent weeks and James stars as a detective called Broome who is investigating a cold case involving a missing person.

The Cold Feet star looked in the zone as he walked through the set wearing navy trousers, a blue button-up shirt layered with a fleece and coat.

James also had on a pair of disposable gloves, while another picture showed him gloveless with his hands raised to the sky in what looked like pure exasperation.
