The Irish actor, who played Ted Hastings on the hit show alongside Martin Compston and Vicky McClure, revealed there's a good chance the series will return for another season.
Both the BBC and the show's creator Jed Mercurio have remained tight lipped on the future, but cast members have expressed their interest in returning.
Adrian, 64, appeared on Good Morning Britain on Tuesday and told hosts Susanna Reid and Ed Balls there wouldn't long to wait until the seventh instalment is confirmed or denied - once and for all.
He teased we could know in a matter of weeks or months if and when Line of Duty will return, and whether the cast will be back too.
