msn.comLinda Nolan has been forced to issue a statement confirming she is alive after a hoax tweet spread on social media. Musician Linda, 64, was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2006, before getting a diagnosis of incurable secondary breast cancer in 2017, which had spread to her hip.
The cancer has continued to spread, with The Nolans singer revealing in March that her cancer had spread to her brain and she was now ‘preparing for the inevitable. ’Linda has remained positive, saying she will undergo treatment in the hopes to give her more time, and has said she has picked out a pink and sparkly coffin.
This week, a message spread on social media from a man claiming the musician had died. He shared an old photograph of the star and shared some of the ‘many memories’ he had of her from seeing The Nolans over the years.
As fans began to fear the worst, Linda’s family shared the tweet and issued a stern message, revealing that in just 20 minutes since it was posted, they had received a large volume of calls attempting to confirm the news.
