Coleen Nolan’s sister, Linda Nolan, has taken to Instagram to share an update with her followers on her battle with cancer. Alongside a photo of herself, Linda wrote: Photo from my first day of radiotherapy earlier this week, 4 sessions down - another 6 to go!” In late March, Linda, 64, shared the news that her incurable secondary breast cancer had spread to her brain and that she was, heartbreakingly, beginning to make arrangements for her funeral.
At the time, Linda said her late husband Brian Hudson, who passed away after battling skin cancer in 2007, as well as her sister Bernie, who tragically died from the disease in 2013, had both planned their own funerals.
She told the Mirror: "Brian organised his funeral and it was amazing. Bernie arranged hers. It’s easier for people left behind.
I’ve gone into it a little bit. A Neil Sedaka song, Our Last Song Together. And I know the funeral people I’m going to use.” Linda explained that her sister Maureen Nolan, 68, suggested she should have a "pink glitter" coffin, which Linda has decided is "absolutely" what she is going to go for.
