Lincoln City boss Michael Appleton has revealed Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp sent his side a classy message after their Carabao Cup clash on Thursday night The Reds maintained their 100 per cent start to the season with a rout of the League One side, running out 7-2 winners at the LNER Stadium.
Liverpool were imperious in the first-half - in which they scored five goals - but were met with greater resistance in the second.
Klopp didn't dwell on the victory for too long, immediately paying tribute to the Imps for their spirited effort and wishing them well for the rest of the season.
