At least, that’s what happens in the first full-length trailer for Disney‘s “Lilo & Stitch” remake. In the extended look at the live-action reboot, a lonely Hawaiian girl named Lilo is longing for a best friend.
After she sees a glowing comet blast across the night sky, she makes a wish and then finds herself face-to-face with Stitch, a dog-like alien experiment whose raison d’etre is creating destruction.
Like the original 2002 animated film, “Lilo & Stitch” follows a young orphan who is being raised by her teenaged sister, Nani.
