Hunter Ingram When their paths first crossed on the Spanish-language variety show “Sábado Gigante” in the 1990s, Lili Estefan and Raúl De Molina could not have been on more divergent career paths.

De Molina was a celebrated photographer who traded war zones in Central and South America for a career as a paparazzo, snapping shots of celebrities that landed in magazines across the world.

Meanwhile, Estefan, the niece of singer Gloria Estefan, was just getting her start in broadcasting as a model on the variety show and as a local Miami radio DJ.

They were from two different worlds, and yet, within the decade, they would begin an on-screen partnership that, as both of them put it, has outlasted most marriages.
