'Lifeline' community larder secures £5k humanitarian funding

A community larder will continue to support locals hit by the cost of living after receiving a £5000 cash boost.Through public votes Eaglesham & Waterfoot Community Larder won its bid for a Humanitarian Fund from Voluntary Action East Renfrewshire to ensure its survival over the next year.The charitable venture is the brainchild of local community worker Freya Young who started the larder to help those in need throughout the coronavirus pandemic.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
