A Lidl worker has suffered life-changing injuries following an 'accident' at a Greater Manchester supermarket. An investigation is underway following an incident at the Lidl store in Beech Hill, Wigan, last night (April 17).
Emergency services were called out to the supermarket, on the junction of Woodhouse Lane and Whitworth Way, at around 10pm. North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) confirmed that a patient was rushed to hospital from the supermarket with a serious leg injury.
A cordon has remained in place at the supermarket today, with forensics officers in attendance. Greater Manchester Police and Wigan Council are investigating the incident.
The exact nature of the incident is yet to be confirmed.
