Library fines in South Lanarkshire cancelled by leisure authority

South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture is scrapping library fines as of tomorrow (April 1) in a bit to encourage people to use the facilities.The cancellation of fines will begin tomorrow and apply at all libraries, and this includes existing fines.South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture’s general manager, Kay Morrison, said: We hope people will see this as an opportunity to reconnect with their library.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
