Liam Payne says his relationship with Cheryl 'ruined' by birth of son Bear

Liam Payne opened up about his ex-partner Cheryl, admitting that their son "ruined their relationship – but for all the right reasons".

The former One Directioner has just appeared on the podcast of controversial American Youtuber Logan Paul. Liam, now 28, was 23 years old when Cheryl, then 33, gave birth to their son Bear in 2017.

He spoke candidly on Logan's ImPaulsive podcast about how he struggled to comes to terms with fatherhood, the Mirror reported.

The singer talked about early parenthood, saying: "I like to talk to other new dads. You don't know what's coming."Touching on the breakdown of his two-year relationship with Cheryl he shared: "To be honest with you, it ruined a relationship at that point – but for all the right reasons."I was so excited for him to be born that I was actually worried if I wouldn’t love him enough."Praising his ex, Liam called Cheryl "the best mum in the world" and said: "I couldn't ask for someone better."But he revealed it was scary when Bear was first born as Cheryl "haemorrhaged quite badly" after the birth.
