Liam James Payne (born 29 August 1993) is an English singer and songwriter.
He rose to fame as a member of the boy band One Direction.
Payne made his debut as a singer when he auditioned for the British television series The X Factor in 2008. After being eliminated as a solo performer, he auditioned again in 2010 and was put into a group with four other contestants to form One Direction
Liam Payne reportedly left rehab after only two days. The late singer, who tragically passed away at 31 after falling from his hotel room balcony in Argentina, is believed to have checked into The Priory in July for a 28-day programme.
However, it's said that the chart-topping star walked out just 48 hours later. Reports suggest that Liam's decision to abandon his chance of "overcoming his addictions" deeply upset his loved ones.
Liam had previously been candid about his struggles and even confided in TV personality Paddy McGuinness about his journey towards sobriety.
Despite his desire to get his life back on track, new reports indicate he found it challenging, reports the Mirror. It's alleged that the Teardrops singer had enrolled in the £5,000-a-night The Priory in London and had begun a detox programme.
