Liam James Payne (born 29 August 1993) is an English singer and songwriter.
He rose to fame as a member of the boy band One Direction.
Payne made his debut as a singer when he auditioned for the British television series The X Factor in 2008. After being eliminated as a solo performer, he auditioned again in 2010 and was put into a group with four other contestants to form One Direction

The dad-of-one first found fame on the X Factor in 2010 as part of boyband One Direction.Liam tragically died on Wednesday whilst on a trip to Buenos Aires after he fell from the third floor balcony of his hotel.
Friends and family have rallied round the Payne family including hair stylists Royston Blythe and Nick Malenko, who were among the first to send their love and support.
Nick told SWNS: "I messaged his mom Karen this morning. She's finding it hard to speak about what's happened, but she said ' I've lost my beautiful boy'."Paying tribute to Liam, who was once a regular at their Royston Blythe hair salon, the pair said they were heartbroken to learn of his passing.Nick added: "He was a beautiful boy inside and out."It's absolutely shocking and devastating that such a young and talent life has gone.
