The funeral of One Direction star Liam Payne is set to take place next month, as investigations into his tragic death continue. The 31 year old singer, who was a doting dad to son Bear, seven, tragically died after falling three floors from his hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Heartbroken fans have been paying tribute to the Strip That Down hitmaker at impromptu vigils and memorials. Argentina's National Criminal and Correctional Prosecutor's Office are not seeking anyone else in connection with his death, believing he may have fallen while in a state of "semi or total unconsciousness" after drugs and alcohol were discovered in his room.

His parents, Karen and Geoff, flew to Argentina to formally identify their son's body and arrange for his return to the UK. Reports suggest that Liam had multiple drugs in his system at the time of his fall.

Prosecutors also suggested that the singer could have experienced a substance abuse-induced breakdown around the time of his fall, as he was reportedly acting aggressively in the hotel reception just minutes before his death.
