New details about the tragic death of Liam Payne have been released. As we previously reported, the former One Direction member passed away on Wednesday after falling from the balcony of his 3rd floor room at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
He was just 31. A chilling 911 call released on Thursday revealed the hotel’s chief receptionist, Esteban, contacted the police to come “urgently” to the hotel after becoming concerned about Liam’s safety.
He said the singer was “under the influence of alcohol and drugs” — and even specifically mentioned the man was “in danger” because he was “in a room with a balcony.” Sadly, the local authorities did not show up in time, and the situation ended in tragedy.
