Liam James Payne (born 29 August 1993) is an English singer and songwriter.
He rose to fame as a member of the boy band One Direction.
Payne made his debut as a singer when he auditioned for the British television series The X Factor in 2008. After being eliminated as a solo performer, he auditioned again in 2010 and was put into a group with four other contestants to form One Direction
Liam Payne has apologised and said it wasn’t his intention to offend anyone, after his track Both Ways was accused of being ‘biphobic’.
Back in December, Liam faced backlash over the song and was hit by claims he was ‘fetishing bisexual women’ in the track while #liampayneisoverparty started trending on Twitter.
The lyrics, that have been accused of biphobia, include: ‘Lovin’ the way she’s turning you on / Switching the lanes like a Bugatti Sport / Nothing but luck that she got me involved, yeah. ‘Flipping that body / Go head, I go tails / Sharing that body like it’s our last meal.’ Now, Liam has addressed the backlash and apologised.
