Pillowtalk singer Zayn is expecting his first child with model girlfriend Gigi Hadid and 1D fans had called for the group to publicly pass on their well wishes to the happy couple.
It seemed unlikely after Zayn, 27, quit the boy band in 2015 and rumours of tension between him and Liam, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan, have plagued them in the years since.
But Liam, 26, has put an end the rift rumours by extending the olive branch and reacting to Zayn and Gigi’s pregnancy announcement.
