Steven George Gerrard MBE (born 30 May 1980) is an English professional football manager and former player who manages Scottish Premiership club Rangers.

He spent the majority of his playing career as a central midfielder for Liverpool, with most of that time spent as club captain, as well as captaining the England national team. Widely regarded as one of the greatest midfielders of all time,

Gerrard was awarded the UEFA Club Footballer of the Year award in 2005, and the Ballon d'Or Bronze Award. In 2009, Zinedine Zidane and Pelé said that they considered Gerrard to be the best footballer in the world.

One of the most recognisable figures in British music, he is noted for his outspoken and abrasive manner; penchant for wearing parkas; distinctive singing style, in which he elongates vowels; and signature stance on stage, which consists of him holding his arms behind his back and singing up into a downward-facing microphone.

Liam Gallagher, 49, has reignited the bitter rivalry with his brother after calling him "an a**e licker".The rock star made the swipe on Twitter after it was suggested that Noel, 54, had more talent than him during their time in Oasis.Man City fan Liam was in a bullish mood on the social media platform on Sunday (May 22).

The singer wasn't afraid to voice his opinions as he also took shots at ex-footballers Jamie Carragher and Steven Gerrard while celebrating Man City's win over Liverpool for the Premier League title.

Targeting Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher, the Beady Eye frontman tweeted: "What you saying carra you (bell emoji) end."As numerous Liverpool fans rushed to defend the former England player, one wrote: "Noel had the talent."Liam, 49, replied by tweeting: "As an a**e licker."Footballer Jamie, 44, also hit back at Liam's tweet, commenting: "I'm saying you'll never win the Champions' League & Oasis are sh**e compared to the Beatles.

That work??"The ex-Oasis star continued his potty-mouthed tirade, tweeting in response: "Eh Carra you got s*** banter for a scouser, f***** hell lad you been hanging out with (Gary) Neville too long.
