Pictures show swathes of excited fans entering the stadium for the almost sell-out gig, as many adorned their Gallagher-printed tees, ready for the performance.

It is one of the Oasis-frontman's most eagerly-anticipated gigs of the summer, at City's ground, just as his third solo album, C'Mon You Know, looks set to sail to the top of the charts.
