Liam Gallagher has beaten Kodaline to Number 1 on the Official Irish Albums Chart with live album MTV Unplugged. The Oasis legend scores his second solo chart topper in the process, joining his solo debut As You Were from 2017.
2019’s Why Me? Why Not peaked at Number 2. MTV Unplugged was the best-selling album of the week on physical formats (CD and vinyl) and is the fastest-selling vinyl album of 2020 so far.
MTV Unplugged is the first Number 1 live album in just shy of three years since Christy Moore’s On The Road spent three non-consecutive weeks at the tail-end of 2017.
