Dermot Kennedy has returned to Number 1 on the Official Irish Albums Chart with Without Fear. The release of Dermot’s new EP Lost In The Soft Light (not eligible for the Official Irish Albums Chart) has created a domino effect onto his debut album, which reaches the top spot for the first time since January.
Without Fear has now spent nine non-consecutive weeks at Number 1; the last time a debut album by an Irish act racked up as many weeks at the top spot was Kodaline’s In A Perfect World, which also notched up nine weeks across 2013-2015.
Following this concert on the video game Fortnite, Travis Scott’s album Astroworld catapults up the Top 50, rising 35 places to Number 12, its highest position for 87 weeks.
