Lewis Hamilton eased to his fourth win of the season as he controlled the Spanish Grand Prix at the Circuit de Catalunya. Only the top three drivers finished on the same lap for the first time in since the Austria 2018 to further underline their dominance.
The Brit extended his lead at the top of the championship as Max Verstappen held off Valtteri Bottas to split the Mercedes after he got the jump on the Finn on the opening lap.
The Red Bull driver endeavoured to go with Hamilton in the early exchanges with his race pace expected to rival that of the Mercedes duo, but it was soon clear that was not going to be the case.
