Lewis Capaldi delighted two Scots fans as he hugged them on stage after a towel was thrown at the star.The Someone You Loved singer was just 10 minutes into the sixth leg of his world tour when the item was hurled on stage at Aberdeen's P&J Live on Monday night.

He stopped and picked up the towel before discovering a message sprawled across the fabric.The raucous crowd then cheered as he revealed it read: "Gie us a hug." As reported by Aberdeen Live, he explained he was "too high up" to give the fans a hug - so instead arranged for them to be escorted to the limelight.While the pair climbed over the barrier, Lewis joked: "You ruined a perfectly good towel for this, I hope it’s worth it." The singer then described the moment as a "strange way to start a show, but we’re doing it", as the enthusiastic fans hurried on stage.

Then, as they approached with their arms stretched out, Lewis stopped them in their tracks as he jokingly demanded they “wait”.

He asked for their names and introduced Tasha and Kerry to the crowd, before asking the pair: “Do you do this at all of your gigs?”The pair shook their heads and Lewis, without missing a beat, quipped: “You don’t get out of the house?
