The 26-year-old singer, from West Lothian, posted a snap of an iPhone showing a contact profile and phone number on Instagram.
The image, shared to his 1.4million followers, came without a caption, leading many people thinking he had been hacked. "What is happening here," one confused fan tweeted.
Another questioned: "Did he really just?"But all was revealed when some of his followers called the number to see who was at the other end.
