Lewis Capaldi (born 7 October 1996) is a Scottish singer-songwriter. He was nominated for the Critics' Choice Award at the 2019 Brit Awards. In March 2019, his single "Someone You Loved" topped the UK Singles Chart where it remained for seven weeks, and in October 2019 it reached number one on the US Billboard Hot 100. On 17 May 2019 he released his debut album, Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent, which remained at the top of the UK Albums Chart for six weeks.

Taylor Alison Swift is an American singer-songwriter. She is known for narrative songs about her personal life, which have received widespread media coverage. At age 14, Swift became the youngest artist signed by the Sony/ATV Music publishing house and, at 15, she signed her first record deal.

Her 2006 eponymous debut album was the longest-charting album of the 2000s in the US. Its third single, "Our Song", made her the youngest person to single-handedly write and perform a number-one song on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Swift's second album, Fearless, was released in 2008.

Buoyed by the pop crossover success of the singles "Love Story" and "You Belong with Me", it became the US' best-selling album of 2009 and was certified diamond in the US. The album won four Grammy Awards, and Swift became the youngest Album of the Year winner.

Scots superstar Lewis Capaldi has today unveiled the heartfelt music video for his new single Pointless - and it's a real tearjerker.

Taken from his brand new album, Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent, the video for the piano-led ballad explores the touching relationship between a struggling single mother and her young son.Painfully relatable at times, the beautifully cinematic video documents the love and unconditional bond between the pair, as they navigate their way through meandering moments of adolescence and adulthood.We first see the pair sharing an embrace on Christmas Day, just the two of them.

At various points where things seem to be getting too hard for the mum, her boy seems to be able to brighten her day.We see several intimate moments between the mother and son, with a number of warm embraces.

The video ends with the tearful mum giving another hug to her now-grown-up son, as he moves out of her home for the first time.
