Les Dennis has opened up on his failed marriage to Amanda Holden and a "funny" connection he has to his ex's current husband.The comedian recently spoke to presenter Kate Thornton on her podcast White Wine Question Time to chat about love, why he quit Family Fortunes, and how Big Brother helped his career, The Mirror reports.In the episode, which aired on Friday, the two discussed a number of topics including who would be included if Les ever decided to make a film of his life.
He was quick to mention Amanda, who Dennis admitted to be a "couldn't have done it without you’s," supporter.He explained: "Well, I suppose Amanda would have to be there.
It's a chapter in my life that was huge, and I have no idea who to cast in that role." Kate commented that maybe Amanda herself could play the part, Les appeared unsure and replied: "Maybe, maybe yes."The pair married in 1995, when Holden was 22 and Dennis 40 years-old, after meeting while working together on a Sound of Music stage production.
But they would go on to split in 2002 after Amanda's affair with Neil Morrissey was uncovered.The comedian previously said that the cheating "damaged" him, but he has since forgiven Britain's Got Talent judge, telling The Times last month: "If she's happy, I'm happy."In March, Amanda said she felt the marriage to Les had "safety" which she craved, explaining: "I was very young and I had a lot to learn about life."
