Ayoze Perez is in a race to be fit for Leicester's Premier League return after sitting out a practise match with a muscle strain.
Spanish attacker Perez has scored seven goals and had four top-flight assists to help Leicester to third. But he was an omission on Saturday as two Leicester XIs drew 1-1 at the King Power Stadium in a practise match behind closed doors.
Perez did not feature and watched on from the sidelines instead due to injury. understands Perez has also been told to take it easy this week and is unlikely to train.
Leicester return to competitive action a week on Saturday at Watford in the Premier League. The Spaniard will hope to be fit to play on the right of Brendan Rodgers' preferred 4-1-4-1 formation.
