LeBron James' 18 year old son had a heart attack during a workout and was rushed to hospital.The LA Lakers icon's son Bronny is confirmed to be in a stable condition and is no longer in intensive care.

A call was reportedly placed to 911 on Monday 24 July after the medical incident, which occurred during basketball practice with his college team, the USC Trojans of the Pac-12 Conference.

LeBron and his wife Savannah confirmed the medical emergency to TMZ, with a statement that read: "Yesterday while practicing Bronny James suffered a cardiac arrest.

Medical staff was able to treat Bronny and take him to the hospital. "He is now in a stable condition and no longer in ICU. We ask for respect and privacy for the James family and we will update media when there is more information." The statement continued: "LeBron and Savannah wish to publicly send their deepest thanks and appreciation to the USC medical and athletic staff for their incredible work and dedication to the safety of their athletes." LeBron is one of the best-known basketball players, having enjoyed an illustrious career in the sport, spanning over two decades.
