Lauren Paul has called on people to buy their children black dolls and toys to give them ‘an expansive, inclusive lens’. Paul shared the ‘action step’ on her Instagram page and posted a picture of two black dolls she had bought online.
In the lengthy caption alongside the image she urged white parents to follow suit. She wrote: ‘White mothers and fathers, here’s an action step for the start to your week. ‘Take a look at your kids toys and dolls today.
What colour is their skin? Racism is ingrained into our children’s hearts and brains at such a young age, both overtly and subtly. ‘Let’s commit ourselves to giving them an expansive, inclusive lens.
