Lauren Goodger's ex Charles Drury charged with 'assaulting TOWIE star after baby's funeral'

Lauren Goodger's ex Charles Drury has been charged with assaulting the TOWIE star on the day of their baby daughter's funeral.The 25 year old builder appeared at Barkingside Magistrates' Court on 14 June charged with assault and coercive and controlling behaviour.

He reportedly pleaded not guilty to both charges and was bailed ahead of appearing at Snaresbrook Crown Court on July 12. It is alleged that Charles caused the former TOWIE star "actual bodily harm" on 4 August last year - the day of their baby daughter Lorena's funeral.

Lauren, 36, and Mr Drury split shortly after the death of their second child Lorena, who died minutes after she was born. A spokesperson from the Metropolitan Police said: "A man has appeared in court charged with offences linked to an incident in Upminster.

Charles Drury, 25, of Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire appeared at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 14 June charged with assault (ABH) and engaging in controlling/coercive behaviour. "He was bailed to next appear at Snaresbrook Crown Court on 12 July.The charges relate to an incident police were called to in Upminster on 4 August 2022. “A woman aged in her 30s was treated for facial injuries."
