Late Queen's Olympics appearance has fans 'crying' after footage resurfaces

The Paris Olympics Opening Ceremony is scheduled to take place tonight.The three-hour event will celebrate plenty of aspects of French culture, as well as parading past the Notre-Dame, Louvre and various other famous landmarks in the French capital.Sports fans' excitement is palpable – and it's making many reflect on the London Olympics back in 2012.

The ceremony took place on July 27, 2012, and was directed by Oscar-winning director Danny Boyle. It was titled "Isles of Wonder," inspired by a line from William Shakespeare's play "The Tempest", and contained plenty of incredible details.

Famous faces likeSir Kenneth Branagh, Queen, The Spice Girls, George Michael and Rowan Atkinson all had their parts to play.But one of the most iconic moments was the late Queen Elizabeth II's iconic cameo with fictional character James Bond, played by Daniel Craig.

In the comedy sketch, the pair are followed by Her Majesty's pet corgis as they walk out of the Royal residence and into a helicopter.This whizzes past countless unforgettable London attractions including Big Ben, the London Eye and St Paul's Cathedral, before panning to a live view above the Olympic Stadium in Stratford.
