Late-Night Emmy Surprise: Talk Category Scores Four Nominations

deadline.comThere was much concern within the late-night community that there would only be three nominations for the the Emmy’s Outstanding Talk Series category.
However, this morning as voting for nominations opened, it has emerged that the category will have four nominations thanks to 14 submissions in the category.
This means that the category has only lost one nomination slot from last year, as opposed to two, which was the worry before voting opened.
Last year, , then hosted by Trevor Noah, won the Talk Emmy, beating out Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Late Night with Seth Meyers, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and The Problem with Jon Stewart.
