‘Lanterns’: Kyle Chandler in Talks for Hal Jordan Role in HBO Series

variety.comJoe Otterson TV Reporter Kyle Chandler is in negotiations for a lead role in the Green Lantern series “Lanterns” at HBO, Variety has confirmed with sources.
Chandler would reportedly play Hal Jordan should he join the series. The will follow Jordan and John Stewart, two members of the Green Lantern Corps.
No one is currently attached to play Stewart. Reps for HBO and Warner Bros. Television declined to comment. Reps for Chandler did not immediately respond to Variety‘s request for comment.
Chandler is the latest high-profile actor to be associated with the series. It was previously reported that Josh Brolin was offered the Hal Jordan role before ultimately passing.
