Josh Brolin had reportedly been in talks to play Hal Jordan in the HBO series Lanterns, based on DC Comics‘ Green Lantern. Green Lantern didn’t work out, but that’s okay,” Brolin said in an interview with ComicBook. “It’s working out. Who is it going to be, Kyle Chandler?

Lanterns is a series from Ozark’s Chris Mundy, Watchmen‘s Damon Lindelof, and comic book writer Tom King. It follows new recruit John Stewart and Lantern legend Jordan, two intergalactic cops drawn into a dark, Earth-based mystery as they investigate a murder in the American heartland.
