Lanarkshire woman struck with hammer in row over cigarettes

A Lanarkshire woman was hit on the head with a hammer after a row over cigarettes. Jordane Bell, of Glen Avenue, Larkhall, attacked the woman hours after meeting her for the first time, Hamilton Sheriff Court heard this week.

She managed to take this from Bell and threw it out of her reach."Bell left the house and called the police, claiming she had been assaulted.Ms Clark added: "Officers attended the woman's home because of this allegation.
