Lanarkshire theatre group set to hold first ever pantomime

A theatre group based in Lanarkshire are set to hold their first ever pantomime this week. The Glasgow Theatre Society recently moved to Cambuslang Parish Church as their new base of operations, and they'll be performing panto favourite Cinderella there from Wednesday November 23 through until Saturday November 26.

It's the first time the long-running am dram group, who perform theatre, musicals and other shows , will tackle a panto.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

She explained: "It's been written by Alan Whitehill, who's one of the long serving cast members. His dad was a huge pantomime fan and always fancied writing one, but has passed away, so Alan wanted to do this as a tribute to him."It's a classic panto with everything you'd expect.
