A Lanarkshire schoolboy is set for a walk on the red carpet - as he appears in the new film that will launch a top film festival.Kai Bruce has a role in Girl, which will open the Glasgow Film Festival on March 1.

The 12-year-old, who attends Stonelaw High in Rutherglen, has already become a regular on stage, including a recent run at the Babes in the Wood pantomime in Edinburgh.
